Review: My Favorite Gadget for On Playa Cooking

My specialty is Thai and in Thai cooking you're frequently reaching for fresh limes. As everyone in our camp loves Thai food, it was a no-brainer to offer Thai meals while we were building Syzygryd and during Burning Man itself.

To make prep as simple as possible in our camp kitchen, we added a citrus juicer to our list of must have gadgets. I first saw this tool last year seated at the bar of Range in SF. The ease at which the bartender quickly squeezed fresh lemon and lime juice had me sold. After demonstrating it at our housewarming dinner, I had another chef sold on it as well.

Another plus of this device? If your hands are dry or you've got a paper cut you can squeeze lemons and limes without discomfort. A definite must have on playa.
