What I Crave: Spice, Fried Goodness, and more

This head cold/allergy just does not want to go away. This morning I'd rather be curled up in bed with a cup of steaming hot tea and some of favorite comfort foods than about to head into the office.

To be a kid again just for the day. When we were sick we'd start the day with a special breakfast, French Toast. We'd also have lots of tea, usually English or Irish Breakfast.

In Texas, I replaced traditional Chicken Soup with Tom Yum Gai. I used to make large batches of it and have my freezer stuffed and ready. Right now our freezer has stock but no spicy goodness. Another Monkey has Won Ton Nachos that combine fried goodness with Tom Yum paste. Heaven!

After living in Michigan for two years and discovering Frank's Red Hot, it's been added to my must have comfort food when I'm sick. It gets poured on everything - especially scrambled eggs and French Fries. I can easily go through an entire bottle.

Anyone have any tips for getting better faster?

Bon Apetit!
