Font Friday: Titanick-Display

BeautyWare by Lincoln Tea Canister

Today's font is inspired by my kitchen canisters: Titanick-Display. (I drank a lot of peppermint tea this weekend while I was home sick in bed.)

Like last week's pick, Airstream, Titanick-Display was also created by Nick's Fonts. Titanick-Display is "a sans serif version of the triline font Dextor, with lowercase letters added."

If you notice closely, the font doesn't match my canisters exactly. Look at the A. In the 1950s, Lincoln and Garner Ware made similar canisters; my sets are BeautyWare by Lincoln. Lincoln places text both vertically and horizontally, while all Garner Ware text is horizontal.

The Finds: 1: Complete Canister Set, Garner Ware, $45, available from Tinted Vintage; 2: Partial Set - Sugar and Flour, Garner Ware, $12.50, available from Our Vintage Family; 3: Complete Canister Set, BeautyWare by Lincoln, $59.99, available from Modnique; 4: Partial Set - Sugar and Coffee, BeautyWare by Lincoln, $15.88, available from My Attic's Treasures; 5: Complete Canister Set, BeautyWare by Lincoln, $20, available from Sam and Chris.

Bon Apetit!
