Dining Out: We're 1 Year Old!

Yesterday we celebrated our one year anniversary (going from little 'd' dating to big 'D' dating) at Farina with two of our friends Josh and Icka. We decided to start our meal with some antipasti. We chose the Tagliere di salumi.
cubes and I shared a salad - Misticanza di campo con scaglie di pecorino. The saltiness of the cheese was contrasted nicely with both the bitter greens and the sweetness of the balsamic vinaigrette.
For the main course, with the exception of me, everyone had the lamb. Icka and I traded bites. The lamb was perfectly cooked, medium rare, melt in your mouth goodness.I had the John Dory. I love olives so when I saw a dish with olives I knew I had to get it. The olives didn't overpower and the overall taste was light and fresh.
We all decided to finish up with dessert. Three of us chose to have our dessert with the recommended paired dessert wine. For dessert I cheated and had some dairy - a beautiful strawberry tart (Crostatina alle fragole e balsamico). (Josh also had the tart). It was described as a house made strawberry and balsamic vinegar tart served with fresh strawberries. The wine paired with it was a Braida Bracchetto '07 from Piemonte.cubes had the Torta di cioccolato al tiramisu (house made chocolate cake with chocolate marscarpone mousse and genoise soaked with espresso and sambuca). He was a little too fast with his fork (and the lighting was low) so alas I missed getting a photo. His dessert was paired with a Monchiero Carbone Moscato Passito '03 from Piemonte.
