Last week flew by. Lots happened. Sprite has been enjoying our clean bathroom (a side effect of our first Around Our Home post).
We had crazy weather Thursday night; it was sleeting when I came out of Trader Joe's! cubes and I cooked dinner for Shabbat. Late Friday night (early Saturday morning), I made a mess while baking.
I also used our Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer for the first time to make the Double Deluxe Chocolate Cookies for our friends' Teddy Bear Picnic-themed baby shower.
Saturday, we survived a Death Metal Concert and the North Wind. I also got an iPad and a few purses (black, brown, and pink of course) to carry it (more on this later).
So what's on deck for the coming week? I'll share some of the cured meats we're testing for our antipasto party, my favorite picks from Sushi Zone, and what we made for Shabbat (steak with pan-fried potatoes and sauteed mushrooms). I'll also take you to one of our favorite Saturday hang outs and explain how I modified the chocolate cookies.
